Children’s Choir is a group of 15 talented orphans of whom some have lost both parents to HIV/ AIDS, some to civil war and others victims of abject poverty. They are here in the U.S. to raise financial and logistical support for hundreds of fellow orphaned and helpless children in the Sifa Children Project back in Uganda East Africa, who so desperately need housing and school facilities completed for them to access free quality education and a healthy living situation.
‘Sifa’ is a Swahili word which means ‘Praise’. These children through music, dance, and art offer praise to God for the opportunity to be alive and the responsibility to represent other children they left back home.
The Sifa Children choir is currently touring Denver Colorado and are available for performances in churches, schools, private, public events and concerts from August 1 – 30 2011 before they travel back to Africa September 5 2011.
